Acting & Producing

Selected works featuring my talents and skills.

TIME SHARK (2020)

This was made as part of the 2020 48 hr stay at home film challenge.

My favourite line: “How did I know it was a time shark and not a regular shark like a hammerhead or a jaws.”

ESSENTIAL OILS (2019)

This is my second sketch that I wrote that was produced by Cackle Comedy. Cackle Comedy is a Canadian Toronto based production company that produces short comedy videos.

TIMEDR (2017)

This video was made as part of the 2017 Toronto 48 hr film project where teams have 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit a short film based on a specific genre. I co-wrote and star in these 7 minutes of silliness about a brand new dating app – TIMEDR.
The elements we had to work into the film were:

Genre: Time Travel
Character: Quinn Diaz, Stand up Comedian
Prop: Beach Towel
Line: Do you even know how to use that?

Our team won Best Graphics, Best Sound Effects, Best Special Effects, and Audience Favourite at the Toronto 48 hr film project. Timedr is an Official Selection of the Austin Short Comedy Film Festival (2018) where I was nominated for Best Actress, and is an Official Selection of the Chicago REEL Shorts Film Festival. Before you ask, I don’t know them, and there was no fee to be nominated. It was 100% merit based and totally made my day. External validation for the win!

My favourite line: “F?!K you and your rotating casks”

Clipped (2018)

This video was made as part of the 2018 Toronto 48 hr film project where teams have 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit a short film based on a specific genre. I co-wrote and play a bad guy (outside of my typical comfort zone) in this.

The elements we had to work into the film were:

Genre: Spy/Espionage
Character: Riley Ludwig
Prop: Headband
Line: In another life, if you’re lucky

Our team won Audience Favourite at the Toronto 48 hr film project.

My favourite line: “I care about clip art”

My favourite line:  “I’m not his mom, I’m his companion in life and love.”

Move to the Side (2013)

What can I say, I love being part of a film challenge, even though they got my last name wrong in the credits. I acted in this short that was made as part of the 2013 Summer Toronto Film Challenge. It was also an Official Selection of Indiedemand (2013)

My favourite line: “You do know that my name is Tony right?”
